Intro to Weight Training

 

4-Week Educational Strength Series
Led by Personal Trainer, Sara Engebretsen!

Learn the fundamentals of weight training and how to program workouts using appropriate rep, set, and rest ranges for muscle endurance, hypertrophy, strength and power. Understand the difference between push/pull days and ways to structure your workouts, targeting all six major muscle groups, based on your fitness goals!

Program includes 4 structured workout sessions and an InBody 570 assessment.

Sara graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a B.S. in Exercise Science. She is NASM-certified as a personal trainer, wellness coach, corrective exercise specialist and nutrition coach. Sara has worked with diverse individuals, including post-stroke and patients with high blood pressure; helping them build strength, improve mobility, and regain confidence.

Sara has been with Dow Midland Wellness Centers since 2024 and enjoys recreational weightlifting, traveling, and spending time outside. With a lifelong commitment to an active lifestyle, including many years as a competitive figure skater, Sara understands that fitness looks different for everyone. That’s why she strives to create a supportive, encouraging training environment that builds confidence and motivation, helping clients of all ages and experience levels achieve their health and fitness goals.
